Eden - Horde models painted...

Well sort of, at least I have tried to base coat and ink something....

I need to get these up to standard so I can finish my Resistance crew.

Eden - Hord models arrive

I got my new Hord models for my Brood master and Beast master. Maelstrom made a mix up and I actually got both starters even though I only order the Brood master. Once again very nice models from Taban. I didn't order any bases so I need to place an order for some bases asap.

The hord have some interesting rules and here is the card for the Brood master (cards can be download from Tabans web site). The masters Frenzy tokens can be used by allied fighters within 20cm to power special abilities. Then the Frenzy token can power a 1AP, + 1CBT or even +1SPD.

Concept art only at this stage, but model are us usually very close to concept art. So i think this will be awesome but i wonder how big it is.

Here are some  Jokers that I have been finishing. Great models to paint.

Yuri with his Molotov and Grigoriy with his rabbit bombs make for lots of fun and games!

ISC - starter set + yellow Gaki

I've almost finished my ISC starter set. I also picked up a few more ISC directly from Taban , mostly the models I wanted to paint the most.

Here are the Carmin warrior, Black Kunoichi and the Yellow Gaki. The colors help to describe the models traits (Color code : Grey = Support/Leader ; Yellow = Hindrance/Leader ; Blue = Rock-solid ;
Carmin = Fighter ; Black = Assassin ; Green = Scout) 

The yellow Gaki is has light plasteel armor for Full+1 (stops one wound) and you cannot wound him/her in the arms or torso! The other big tactical advantage is the Yellow Gaki only costs 10 points. 

Jokers new recruit

I couldn't resist when I was ordering some new brushes so I got Yorg.

He has a resin barrel and the casting is very nice. The hands are molded on barrel and it just sit on top of the arms. Easy to assemble and I am looking forward to painting him.

Painting progress on my DA and Taban new recruits

I have been madly painting to try and clear the bench so I can get my ISC and Resistance models painted.

So I quickly based and painted some more DA Brood yesterday. They are very easy to paint, all they need are some more detailing and highlighting to finish. Painting wise they are ready to play with and tactically they give me two lists that I can use for the Brood at 750 points. The throwers look to be interesting models to use in a game with hugh range and two HP.

I couldn't resist so I'm also base coating the rest of the starter box for the ISC and a yellow Gaki. I much prefer painting the Taban models because the castings are finer and I really like the robotic theme.

Eden - Grey Daimyo

Here is my new ISC model. Its a bit washed out due to light but it has shades of grey and pink/red helmet etc. I think this is one of the nicest ISC models but I'm sure I will think the next model  I paint is one of the nicest as well!

Eden - Grey Daimyo

Here is my slightly converted Grey Daimyo. I have just started to base coat although I have not completely planned the color scheme. I did a simple hand swap and put the spear in an upright position. He come with Plasteel armor: Full + 2.

Also here is a standard Blue Kami, he is a lot smaller cf Grey Daimyo but has a very respectable Heavy Plasteel Armor: Full +3

The ISC tend to have very high PSI as the following card shows. The head is PSI, Arm is CBT or fighting skill, torso is VIG Vigor and Legs are SPD speed. The grey dots represent how many wounds the limb can take, so Grey Daimyo can take 3 wounds to his Arm and then he is incapacitated and removed from the game. The stigma symbol on the bottom right is an alternative way to construct an army . You can either choose to use all ISC models or choose from models with the Protection symbol. Other symbols are Destruction, Order, Change and Chaos. A cool idea to mix up the game. On the other side of the card are the models abilities etc. Cards can be downloaded (and rules) from Tabans web site under the eden option and then choose downloads.

Eden - The nicest models

I initially got into Eden from Taban because of the models and then after having some games realized that is was a gem of a game. Its right up there along side C3.5 IMHO. I brought some ISC to paint and I can't get over how nice they are. Really nice.

Here is the new Yellow Shinigami. Its has resin wings (white resin) and its fits together easily. Mounted on a Taban resin base its a very nice package.

I also got the Carmin Hadakauma which is another great model but its also very big. I have a shot next to a human convoy model for reference. It has a resin body with metal legs. You get the resin base with holes for the legs to sit in so its another very precise cast and a pleasure to assemble.

Eden - convoy "chick"

Here is a Green , link is to Taban forum, but just in case you don't visit it much (You should). Sort of a "bruiser" wouldn't you say ;-) Would make a good prop for the All Blacks, probably a tight head.

Eden - Simply Stunning

These are fantastic and they just seem to have the X Factor compared to some other companies recent releases.

Keep up the awesome work Taban , it good to see that you have decided to concentrate on quality not quantity. If we want quantity we can go somewhere else. If we want quality we go to Taban.

Eden - New faction the "Resistance" assembled

I got the new faction assembled and mounted on the Taban 30mm bases plus one MA 40mm base. Easy to do apart from the robot, I had to grey stuff his legs and then super glue. I'm looking forward to painting these as the models are well defined and have nice poses. The demo paint jobs have very nice electrical effects (green glow) and I might try and do a blue glow instead.

After looking at the mounting of Aston again I might turn him around as it looks like he is leaning back (he is!)

Eden - The Jokers

Well after see the "Magic" man with the exploding rabbit bombs I couldn't resist getting some of Tabans Jokers for the great little game Eden.

I have assembled and quickly based coat (almost) for a game today. Not sure which models I use but it will be fun no matter what the choice is.

Eden - Gaming board with some more bits

I made some terrain pieces that I could just put on board with very neutral colors. Also got some 1:43 size vehicles as the Eden models are 30mm , I think they will be ok. Its getting there but I would like to try and get some train carriages as well.

Eden - Pygmies finished

Wow I just love these Pygmies. I hope Taban make a lot more of these models. Awesome.

I wanted to use an orange palette for painting the Pygmies as I think they would make a cool crew by them selves - Bring on the Pygmies. Still a little bit of green to tie them into the whole mutant theme.
